Karen van der Zee
You're Moving Where?!
In this humorous account, globetrotting romance writer Karen van der Zee tells us what it's like for her to live in foreign countries, to shop, to spend time with friends, to talk to the locals, and to enjoy unusual cultural situations.
In Ramallah, her Palestinian butcher takes her home to meet his family and shows her the bedroom. An old lady all in black abducts her in the Old City of Jerusalem. In Kenya, Karen's first curry cooking experiment ends in disaster. Admitted to the hospital in Indonesia, she finds a cat roaming the halls. In tropical Ghana, she meets up with fun-loving locals, a snake in the water pipe, good and bad repairmen, and a God who is everywhere on shop signs.
Looking at the fun side of things, Karen van der Zee shows the reader how she lives the good life, even if the water stops flowing and the electricity goes off.
